Enter the on/off-peak usage obtained from the customer's monthly bill for the appropriate season. Selecting the square footage and heating type will automatically insert an estimate for the location's current max (uncontrolled) demand. This estimate is based on similar homes. If a more accurate value can be obtained, this can be entered directly. If the demand controller is going to be installed along with another system that aims to reduce (offset) energy usage, e.g., a generation system such as solar, then select the appropriate on/off-peak usage offsets - typically these will be left as 'None' indicating no other system. Once all required data is input click on "Find best billing plan" to determine which of the four pricing plans considered provide the greatest savings. It is assumed that the customer is considering moving from E-26 to E-27(P), and so the savings are based on this. However, the costs associated with all pricing plans are shown so other comparisons can be made. Running the savings tool for Summer, Summer Peak and Winter will give an indication of how the savings will vary over the year.
